Water, the sky and even the air change second by second. Some people on the other hand dread changes and would rather live in a bubble of predictable outcomes. I have learned the hard way that nothing last forever, that we cannot stagnate and expect improvements.

Life changes alright but are we adapting to the changes gracefully? Or are we just moving along reluctantly? I have said it before; I am in a point in my life where I embrace the unexpected surprises of life. I am consciously living life one day at the time, I'm not expecting or clinging for things to happen, if they are meant to be, they will be.

I have learned through Buddhism that we suffer because sometimes we crave what we can't have, I totally agree. Not only do we crave the impossible or clearly wrong things but we go against our better judgment in order to justify what we think we want. We can't control others, we can just control our reactions, the way we ourselves get affected by it, seems hard to do, doesn't it? But this is doable, it just takes practice and I'm still there myself.

Why I wanted to talk about this? Well, lately I've seen a lot of changes around me, some of my friends are going through changes in their lives and for some it was just another challenge they have to overcome, for others it was an unfair trick of life and although they are going along with the ride they are not happy campers. I understand that moving on or going through changes is full of anxiety but we must trust that it is for a higher reason, we will uncover new surviving mechanisms we never knew we had. We will quite possibly amazed ourselves by an improve version of ourselves, we will feel certain of conquering whatever comes our way and emerge triumphant but not because we conquered what we wanted but because we even dared to go for it.
So Impermanence is not an illusion, it is just a mere fact of life; we either go with the flow of life and enjoy the ride or go reluctantly always afraid of the nest step. It is not easy, but things change, the water does not wait for us to continue its course, look out and you will not find the same exact sky and even as you look for changes in it you will be aware that even the air you breathe is not the same.
Things have to change and evolve, are you evolving as a human being? Are you still the same person you were last year? Last month? Have you remained intact and not become more aware? Get in touch with yourself and realize that impermanence is not bad but it is the tool life use to make us appreciate now and hope for a better and improve tomorrow.

Peace out, I'm out to study now.
